These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Loop Tasker ("we," "our," or "us"). Operated by a legal entity located in Stockholm, Sweden (Company Reg. No: 5594803529, European Union VAT Number: SE559480352901), Loop Tasker provides a website and all services related to the looptasker.com domain, Progressive Web App (PWA), and applications available on the Windows Store, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store (collectively, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. By accessing or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the Service.
1. Account Terms
- Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and your third-party authentication credentials (e.g., Google, GitHub, or Microsoft). Loop Tasker cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
- Registration: Registration is conducted exclusively through third-party authentication providers. By using these providers, you authorize us to access certain information (such as your email address and name) as permitted by those services.
- Content and Workspace Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content created, managed, or shared under your account, including but not limited to tasks, projects (Spaces), notes, comments, and file attachments. You are responsible for ensuring that your activities within the Service comply with all applicable laws and do not infringe upon the rights of others.
2. Use of Service and Fair Use Policy
- Acceptable Use: You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. Your use of the Service must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Restrictions: You agree not to:
- Attempt to modify, adapt, or hack the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Automate the creation of accounts, tasks, or any other content through scripts, bots, or unauthorized API calls.
- Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content of a destructive nature.
- Attempt to circumvent any membership quotas, daily creation limits, or technical restrictions implemented by the Service.
- Fair Use Policy: While certain membership plans offer "unlimited" features, these are subject to a fair use policy. We reserve the right to implement "soft limits" or intervene if your usage significantly exceeds average patterns and threatens the stability, performance, or costs of the Service for other users.
- Abuse: Any behavior that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure (such as massive data scraping, rapid-fire task creation, or excessive storage use) may lead to immediate account suspension or termination.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
3.1 Membership Plans
We offer various plans, including:
- Starter: Limited free access.
- Looper: Monthly subscription for individuals.
- Founding Supporter: A one-time payment for lifetime access to certain features.
3.2 Payments and Billing
- A valid credit card or payment method is required for paid accounts.
- The Service is billed in advance on a monthly or one-time basis and is non-refundable, except as expressly provided in these Terms or required by law.
- Billing is handled via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Services Agreement.
3.3 Lifetime Access (Founding Supporter)
"Lifetime access" refers to the lifetime of the Loop Tasker product. While we reserve the right to discontinue the Service, we are committed to our early supporters. In the unlikely event of product discontinuation, we will provide reasonable notice and make commercially reasonable efforts to provide alternatives such as a data export tool or access to a final version where feasible to ensure our Founding Supporters are not unfairly disadvantaged.
3.4 Refunds
Refunds are processed at our discretion unless required by local consumer protection laws. Generally, we offer a 14-day refund period for first-time subscriptions if the Service has not been significantly used.
4. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property
4.1 Your Content
We claim no intellectual property rights over the material you provide to the Service. Your profile and materials uploaded remain yours. However, by using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
4.2 Loop Tasker Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, original "Loop" concept, source code, and interface elements, is the proprietary property of Loop Tasker and is protected as a literary work under the Swedish Copyright Act (1960:729) and other international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service, its unique methodology, or its visual design without our prior written consent.
5. Termination
- By You: You can delete your account at any time through the settings menu.
- By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or our Fair Use Policy. Except in cases of severe abuse, illegal activity, or where required by law, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via your registered email address before taking such action, providing you with a reasonable window to address the issue or export your data.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and your data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty or condition, express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements.
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- The results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Loop Tasker, its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
In no event shall Loop Tasker's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount paid by you to Loop Tasker for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability. This limitation of liability applies whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis, even if Loop Tasker has been advised of the possibility of such damage.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Stockholm, Sweden.
9. Force Majeure
Loop Tasker shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargos, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor or materials, or failures of third-party cloud service providers or internet infrastructure.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
